Rio 2 (animated) - Jewel, Blu and their three kids leave their domesticated life in that magical city of Rio for a journey to the Amazon. Along the way, they encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild. Features the voices of Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, Will.i.am, Kristin Chenoweth, Jamie Foxx, and Bruno Mars. (G)

Colbert to succeed Letterman as host of 'The Late Show'
Stephen Colbert (Col-Bear) will succeed David Letterman as host of "The Late Show." He has inked a 5-year-contract, to start in 2015.  Colbert has hosted Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" since 2005. CBS made the choice, but Letterman approved it.

CBS to pay Craig Ferguson $5 million for being passed over
Craig Ferguson’s contract awards him $5 million for being passed over for David Letterman’s “Late Show.” He was guaranteed right of first-refusal, but CBS made the decision without consulting him. His contract expires in June.  His show is up against Seth Myers on NBC.

'American Idol' Results: Malaya Watson Going Home
Another female singer was sent home on "American Idol." Malaya Watson got the boot, making her the fifth female finalist to be eliminated. Only two girls are left against five boys in the competition. Watson was joined at the bottom along with C.J. Harris.

Chris Martin Without Wedding Ring in First Post-Split Public Appearance
Chris Martin was upbeat at last night’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Brooklyn. The Coldplay frontman came onstage without his wedding ring and noticeably tan. He inducted singer Peter Gabriel into the Hall of Fame.

Selena Gomez has fired her parents as her managers. She wants to hire a professional to help her with her schedule. Mother Mandy and step-father Brian had been guiding her career since 2007. She has been talking with Katy Perry's manager Bradford Cobb.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted entering a recording studio in Miami yesterday. She kept her head down as she rushed inside the Hit Factory, ahead of Bieber, who is in Miami working on his new album. He prefers working through the night.

Khloe Kardashian stepped out with Moroccan-born U.S. rapper French Montana in West Hollywood. They sat with Kourtney Kardashian's husband, Scott Disick, at a table by the DJ booth. The two have fueled relationship rumors by spending a lot of time in public together.

Billy Joel surprises elementary school kids
Deasy Elementary School in Glen Cove, N.Y. put on a spring concert titled "The River of Dreams: A Billy Joel Tribute." They invited Billy, but didn’t expect him to show up. He arrived just before showtime, and watched the 350 students perform 15 of his songs.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have recorded a new arrangement of "Dream On" to honor victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. They are accompanied by the Southern California Children's Chorus. Tuesday is the anniversary of the attacks.

The Smashing Pumpkins To Re-release Adore Album As Box Set
The Smashing Pumpkins are set to re-release their 1998 album Adore as a box set featuring new material this summer. The six-disc set will include unreleased songs and a live DVD from their 1998 charity tour. The group is releasing two new albums in 2015.
