Ever wonder what your favorite DJ's at the point are up to when they are not on the air? So did we!
In an effort remniscent of "Inside the Actor's Studio", we went inside the mind of The Point Airstaff...and what we found made us want to skip lunch.
First, join us as Chuck from The Morning Point gives us some persoective into what makes him 'tick' in his day.
Often called crazy, whacky, and just weird...Chuck is also the Dad of two great kids and enjoys power-kiting, writing, and playing around with cameras and computers. He lives in Virginia Beach...and for ten years, has been part of The Morning Point. However, as we found, his pool doesn't run as deeply as you might think.
Join us for an introspective, provacative, and inside look...at Chuck from The Morning Point.
49 Percent of people cannot remember New Year Resolutions!
It's March...and chances are by now if you are reading this, you are amongst the 49 percent of the people in the country who have forgotten your resolution made only 2 short months ago.
Experts say there are many factors, including "the economy" and the quickened pace of doing more has us forgetting this little promise we make every January 1st. So how do the members of The Morning Point score on this test?
Chuck from the show cannot remember his..."I know I made one, but, for the life of me, I cannot remember what the heck it was...", He says.
On the other hand, Woo Woo, remembers hers quite clearly. "I said I needed to get organized and I have been keeping that up great. From closets to family documents, I have my stuff together", says Woo Woo. ...perhaps you can give Chuck a hand, Woo Woo?
So, do you remember your resolution? Are you keeping it up? Shoot us an email and let us know how you're doing with it...and if you remember what Chuck's was, please kindly include that information in your message. ;) Thanksabunch!
So long to a legend from the youth. Davy Jones, the positve lead singer of the classic group The Monkees passed away at 66...
As Chuck from The Morning Point said "It's not often I get to hear about a celebrity passing and spend the day smiling. I did just that with great memories of an honest man who kept it clean and positive, that was Davy." , says Chuck
Listeners added comments like "...he was an entertainer from a time when the business was less of a business and all about the entertainment." and "Davy will be missed...he was always so positive to watch and you didn't have to worry about the TV show's content".
Davy was 66 and lived a full life as a member of The Monkees and a highly generous individual noted for his benevolence and kind spirit.
Woo Woo reported the news first in Hampton Roads yesterday, and immediately the audience of 94.9 The Point responded with posts on The Point Facebook Page with stories and great memories of how they grew up with Davy and The Monkees.
"The episode of The Brady Bunch was my biggest memory of Davy", says Woo Woo from The Morning Point. "He was like the Justin Beiber of our parents youth and a sweet man", she added.
Of course, we would be remiss if we did not have some music from The Band we came to know in Technicolor....
So long, Davy! Thanks so much for the smiles and great memories.
To your family and friends, we are certain they share these positive memories of your contributions not only to entertainment, but, the character we all so admired in the legends such as yourself.
