'Today' co-host Ann Curry bids farewell today, but staying with NBC
Ann Curry says goodbye this morning on NBC's Today show. But she isn’t going anywhere. She has a new contract to head a 7-person special assignment unit. They will report news for all NBC media. Savannah Guthrie is expected to be Matt’s new co-anchor.
NBC says Natalie Morales not angry, will keep reading the News for “Today”
Despite reports in the New York media, Natalie Morales is not leaving the Today show. NBC says Morales will continue as the show’s chief news-reader. She’s been with the show 6 years. The network says reports she’s angry at being passed over again are false.
Justin Bieber's 'Believe' is the biggest debut of the year
Justin Bieber’s "Believe" debuts on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1. That makes his fourth No. 1 album, joining "My World 2.0," "Never Say Never: The Remixes" and "Under the Mistletoe." He hits the road in September, playing 45 cities in four months.
Club in Chris Brown-Drake fight loses liquor license
New York nightclub W.i.P. is shut down. Its liquor license has been revoked. The club is where a fight broke out between Chris Brown and Drake’s entourage June 14. There have been nearly a dozen altercations at the club since March.

Pageant fans can watch this year's Miss Virginia pageant every evening on the pageant website. Preliminary competitions are tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30. The new Miss Virginia will be crowned Saturday. It will be broadcast locally on cable channel 4.
Jordin Sparks Performs At Children's Hospital
Jordin Sparks cheered up sick children in a Memphis, Tennessee hospital last week by staging a surprise show. She visited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Friday and performed a 90-minute set. She also visited with youngsters on the wards.
Bon Jovi and Warren Buffet share the stage in an unlikely ukulele duet
Jon Bon Jovi and Warren Buffett shared a stage Tuesday at the Forbes 400 Summit on Philanthropy. Both played "The Glory of Love" on a Ukulele. The song was popularized by Bette Midler. Bon Jovi also spoke at the event and co-hosted an end-of-night reception.
Kellie Pickler Volunteers At Food Bank
Kellie Pickler took time out from her busy schedule on Tuesday to volunteer at a food bank in Tennessee. She is spokesperson for the Hunger-Free Summer drive, in association with the Feeding America organization. She helped pack bags full of food for the needy.
Michael Jackson's tiger dies of lung cancer
A tiger that belonged to Michael Jackson at his Neverland ranch has died of lung cancer at a wildlife preserve in California. The 13-year-old tiger was named Thriller. It was sent there in 2006. Jackson never called to check on the tiger & never sent any money for its care.
Lamar Odom Almost Missed Khloe Kardashian Birthday
Khloe Kardashian's husband Lamar Odom almost missed her birthday celebrations. She turned 28 yesterday. His flight to L.A. was delayed. He arrived late. She received numerous best wishes online. She shared back: ''Heading to a Birthday surprise from my hubby :)''
Rihanna Evacuated From Hotel Fire
Rihanna was evacuated from a hotel fire in London early Wednesday morning. She and 300 guests were sent outside after a blaze broke out in an elevator lift shaft. It was quickly put out. Rihanna tweeted fans a picture of herself bundled up in the back of a taxi.
Rod Stewart recording Christmas duets CD with Buble, Cee Lo
Rod Stewart will release his first holiday duets collection, Merry Christmas, Baby, this fall. He’s also releasing a memoir about the same time. He reunites with Stevie Nicks on their Heart & Soul tour in July, and resumes his residency at Caesars Palace in September.
Actor Don Grady, Robbie on 'My Three Sons,' dies at 68
If you were around in the 1960s, you might remember the popular TV show “My Three Sons.” Actor Don Grady died of cancer Wednesday at the age of 68. He played Robbie Douglas, & was an original Mouseketeer at age 13. He and wife Ginny had 2 children.

Jamie Foxx, Quentin Tarantino, Tyler Perry and Laz Alonzo are to be presenters at the BET Awards this weekend in Los Angeles. Samuel L. Jackson is to serve as the host. Performers include D'Angelo, Usher, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean.
Alec Baldwin Returning To Broadway
Alec Baldwin is heading back to Broadway next spring. He will portray a mobster who is kidnapped and held hostage by two troubled brothers. He is also developing a new Broadway musical, in which he plans to star as a wannabe song and dance man.
R. Kelly Cancels Appearances Due To Health Problems
R. Kelly cancelled all public events yesterday to promote his new book “Soulacoaster.” His rep said he is suffering from complications from surgery he had last year to treat an abscess on his vocal chords. He is in Chicago. The book launch is postponed.
Paula Deen drops 30 lbs. with 'small changes'
Paula Deen has slimmed down, losing 30 lbs. She simply changed her eating - no more mashed potatoes; lots more fish and salad. She has Type 2 diabetes. She told People Magazine, "If you make a few small changes, they can add up to big results."
Nathan Followill To Become A Father
Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill is expecting his first child with wife Jessie Baylin. The baby is due in December. His brother and bandmate Caleb welcomed daughter Dixie Pearl with wife Lily Aldridge on June 21. Kings of Leon are currently on a hiatus.
