The singing former soldier on “America’s Got Talent” is out. Timothy Michael Poe had claimed he was injured in Afghanistan in 2009. His military records made no mention of it. He was dismissed on last night’s show, which was filmed in Las Vegas last month.

Blackstreet founders settle suit with former members

Two former members of the R&B group Blackstreet have settled a lawsuit with founders Teddy Riley and Chauncey Hannibal. Mark Middleton and Eric Williams cannot call themselves Blackstreet when performing. Blackstreet produced four albums in the 1990s.

50 Cent in car accident, released from hospital

50 Cent is out of the hospital after being injured in a car accident in New York Tuesday morning. His SUV was rear-ended by a truck on the Long Island Expressway. He was treated for minor neck and back injuries. His driver was also treated and released.

Author and filmaker Nora Ephron has died at age 71. As a screenwriter, she was nominated 3 times for Academy Awards, for "Silkwood," "When Harry Met Sally" and "Sleepless in Seattle." She wrote openly about her difficult childhood, and her failed relationships.
