20 years ago tonight, in 1993, "The Late Show with David Letterman" premiered on CBS.

In 1997, Americans received word of the car crash in Paris that claimed the life of Princess Diana. Because of the time difference, it was Aug. 31 where the crash occurred.

Fergie gives birth to baby boy

Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel have welcomed their first son. He was delivered by C-section. Axl Jack weighed 7 pounds and 10 ounces. He is named after the lead singer of Guns N Roses, Axl Rose. They are in the same suite previously occupied by Kim Kardashian.

It’ll Be a Girl for Kevin and Danielle Jonas

Kevin and Danielle Jonas are thinking pink. The couple revealed the gender of their first child by posting its ultrasound photo online. The baby’s head is topped by a pink bow. She is due sometime this winter. No word on a name yet.

Beyonce shoots video at Coney Island, couple stuck on ride

Beyoncé brought New York's famous Coney Island to a standstill on Thursday. She was in town to record a music video. She was greeted by adoring fans, mixing and mingling before heading on her way. One couple was stuck on a Ferris Wheel while she had makeup applied.

It's been a little over 2 weeks since Kylie Jenner passed her driving test. On Wednesday, she hit the brakes too late and caused a chain-reaction accident. No one was hurt. Her brand new Mercedes SUV is in the shop. The other two drivers expect big insurance checks.

Amanda Bynes' doctors have reportedly recommended ''prolonged treatment.'' They want to keep her in a psych unit at UCLA until 2014. Her diagnosis is complex, and the appropriate drug cocktail to treat her hasn't been achieved yet. They want her stable before release.

Jay Z has pulled a first: He exclusively premiered his new video, "Holy Grail," on his Facebook page Thursday at noon. And he had some heavyweight star power: Justin Timberlake. The clip was the first by a major music star to debut on the social media site.

Clint Eastwood And Wife Dina Separate

Clint Eastwood and his second wife Dina have separated after 17 years of marriage. Four months ago, she checked into a rehabilitation clinic to tackle personal issues.  She and Clint married in 1996 and have one daughter together, 16-year-old Morgan. He is 82, she is 43.

Sandra Bullock says George Clooney “just a good friend”

Sandra Bullock is putting the kibosh on tabloid suggestions George Clooney might be making the moves on her. A photo from their film premiere of “Gravity” in Venice was published in the British Sun. He’s admiring her. Both said they are just “good friends.”

Drake Records Duet With Dad On New Album

Drake's dad will appear on his son's new album. Dennis Graham once worked as a drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis. He has recorded verses for “Heat of the Moment,” a bonus track on Drake's upcoming new release “Nothing Was the Same.” Jay Z and Lil Wayne are also on it.

 “American Idol” tour ends tomorrow in Nashville

American Idol wraps its annual concert tour at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena tomorrow night. Season 12 runner-up Kree Harrison and fellow finalists Janelle Arthur and Paul Jolley all call Nashville home. Harrison says all are eager to start the next chapter of their careers.

Lawrence Taylor's Son Released from Jail

Lawrence Taylor Jr. has been released from jail after his July arrest. He was bonded out by his mother. He’ll remain free until his next court date, which hasn't been scheduled yet. He is accused of illegal physical encounters with underage girls. He is 31.

Stone Temple Pilots Announce 'High Rise' EP

Three months after adding Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington to the group, Stone Temple Pilots will release a five-song EP next month. "High Rise" will be out Oct. 5. Longtime frontman Scott Weiland was terminated from the band in February.

Notorious B.I.G. Fans Petition For Street Name Change

Fans of late rap icon Notorious B.I.G. are flocking to sign an online petition to have a street in New York named in his honor. The petition is on Change.org. Fans want his childhood street in Brooklyn renamed Christopher Wallace Way. He died in Los Angeles in 1997.

Little Richard Contemplates Retirement At 80

Rock 'n' roll legend Little Richard is considering retirement after declaring he "doesn't feel like doing anything now". He fell ill during a show in Washington, D.C. last summer & hasn’t performed since. He turns 80 in December, and now spends his days designing clothes.
