`Fast 6' speeds past `Hangover' to top box office

The movie industry enjoyed its most robust Memorial Day weekend ever at the box office, taking in $316 million. "Fast & Furious 6" debuted at No. 1 with $120 million. "The Hangover Part III" earned $51 million, followed by "Star Trek: Into Darkness" with $47M.

Bradley Cooper says there won’t be a 4th ‘Hangover’ movie. At a Las Vegas news conference, he said the 3rd movie ties up everything and closes out the franchise. None of the cast is interested in doing another. Hangover III earned $51 million over the weekend.

Angelina Jolie’s aunt died Sunday from breast cancer. Debbie Martin died at age 61 in a hospital near San Diego. She was the younger sister of Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died from ovarian cancer in 2007. Angelina recently underwent a double mastectomy.

Ben Affleck received one of six honorary doctorate degrees from Brown University. He received a doctor of fine arts degree. He directed, produced and starred in "Argo," which won an Oscar for Best Picture. The university conferred more than 2,400 degrees Sunday.
