As expected, Candice Glover won "American Idol." The 23-year-old R&B vocalist from St. Helena Island, S.C., won the 12th season on her 3rd try. Persistence pays off!! She is the first femalesinger to win since Jordin Sparks in 2007. Her new single is "I Am Beautiful." I think she is fantastic!!!

‘Idol’ pulls in only 11 million viewers Wednesday

Seacrest ... OUT of a job?! HA! Joking. But - American Idol viewing figures have dropped to an all-time low. Only 11 million people tuned in Wednesday to watch season 12's two finalists compete. The series lost more than 2 million viewers a night compared to season 11.
