Barbara Walters to announce her retirement today

Barbara Walters is retiring. She is set to announce on "The View" today she will retire from TV journalism in summer 2014. She is 83. She has been with ABC 37 years, and was with NBC 15 years prior. She said Sunday, "I’m looking forward to a special year ahead.”

Done: Seth Meyers to replace Jimmy Fallon late at night

Seth Meyers is moving from his "Weekend Update" desk to his own late night show on NBC. The network said Sunday he will replace Jimmy Fallon next year. Fallon is moving up to the "Tonight" show. NBC is hoping for a smooth transition to a younger generation.

'Gatsby' gives 'Iron Man 3' a run for its money

"The Great Gatsby" partied like it was the Roaring '20s with a $51 million debut. It came in second behind Robert Downey Jr.'s superhero sequel “Iron Man 3,” which pulled in $72.5 million. “Pain & Gain” was #3 with $5 million, & "Peeples" flopped at No. 4 with $4.9 million.

Robert Downey Jr. wants record $100 million payday

Robert Downey Jr. is set to become Hollywood's first $100 million man. He received $50 million for his role in 'The Avengers'. He’s been in 3 “Iron Man” movies and is negotiating for “Avengers 2.” His role is so prominent in both franchises, he could set a payday record.

Royal baby due during queen's coronation party

Duchess Kate's royal baby is due July 13. The 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in 1953 will be celebrated July 11-14. Prince William and Kate are likely to miss the festivities. If the baby arrives on time, the anniversary could be an afterthought.

Beyonce may be pregnant again. Fans on her ‘Mrs. Carter Show’ world tour have noted her tummy is growing, and her costumes are larger. The NY Post claims multiple sources have confirmed a second child is on the way. Daughter Blue Ivy Carter was born in January 2012.

Docs yank Lindsay’s Adderall, say she doesn’t need it

Lindsay Lohan's doctor at the Betty Ford Center has cut off her Adderall supply. Doctors evaluated her and decided she did not need the pills. She claims to suffer from ADHD. Adderall is misused as a weight control. Lindsay now wants to move to another center.

Michael Lohan pays child support tab to avoid another trip to jail

Michael Lohan is no longer a deadbeat dad. He has paid ex-wife Dina Lohan $30,422 in back child support. Dina went to court last month, asking a judge to hold Michael in contempt. Had he not paid, he would have gone back to jail. Only Cody is still underage, at 16.

Lauryn Hill To Perform New Material In Pre-jail Show

Lauryn Hill is making the most of her freedom before she has to report to jail. She will showcase her new material on a stage in Brooklyn tomorrow night. She must report to jail by July 8 for 3 months for tax evasion. She has a new deal for her first album since 1998.

Their fate seemed as frozen as a freshly Botoxed forehead. But, the show will go on. The RH of NY cast members will receive "modest pay increases" and a make-up salary for Season 6. By the way…NeNe Leakes of RH of Atlanta is the highest paid at $1 million a season.

RH of BH are still on the hunt for new cast members. Casey Kasem's wife Jean has confirmed she’s in talks with Bravo. Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammar have left the show. Jean and Casey married in 1980, and she also starred on "Cheers."

Four TV shows with prominent gay story lines will be cut next season. NBC's "The New Normal," "Smash" and "Go On" and CBS's "Partners," will get the ax. Heather Morris, who plays a bisexual on Fox's "Glee," will not be returning next season.

Ryan Seacrest's production company has sold 13 two-hour episodes of a Spanish-language singing competition to Telemundo. "SuperStar Showdown" features singing challenges, as well as mystery acts and big musical performances. The show targets Hispanic audiences.

Kanye West walks into sign on way to restaurant

Kanye West hurt his forehead outside a restaurant in Beverly Hills Friday afternoon. He hit his head on a signpost while chatting with girlfriend Kim Kardashian. He was left with an abrasion, but no serious injury. The sign read 'Caution: Watch For Pedestrians'.

Kiss rockers Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have launched their 3rd Rock & Brews restaurant, in Torrance, California. They welcomed & served veterans, and made a sizeable donation to local schools. The menu includes a family-friendly cuisine, and 80 craft beers.

Mike Tyson Lands Cartoon Detective Show

Former boxing champion-turned-actor Mike Tyson will star as a crime-solving detective in a new animated series. He has signed a deal with Adult Swim for the Mike Tyson Mysteries. He will voice the main character, who receives help from his foul-mouthed pigeon sidekick.
