40 years ago today in 1973, the twin towers of New York's World Trade Center were officially dedicated. They were destroyed in the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001.
 
Leno to leave NBC's 'Tonight Show' next spring
 
NBC on Wednesday confirmed Jimmy Fallon will be taking over The Tonight Show, which will move to New York. The switch will coincide with NBC's coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Seth Meyers of "Saturday Night Live" is a strong candidate to replace Fallon.

Sheryl Crow took to the stage in her native Missouri last night to raise funds for a friend battling cancer. She sang several of her hit tracks, and took to Twitter to thank fans for supporting the fundraiser. Her friend Drew Lewis has stage 4 colon cancer.

Diddy has become the latest celebrity victim of ''swatting.'' Police swarmed his Los Angeles home Wednesday after they received a phone-call informing them someone had been shot there. Officers determined it was a hoax, and are looking for who made the call.

Rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' catchy hit Thrift Shop has notched up its sixth non-consecutive week atop the U.S. pop charts. Bruno Mars jumps up to 2nd place with When I Was Your Man, with Justin Timberlake's Suit & Tie at three.

Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" is No. 1 on the album chart for a second week. Coming in at No. 2 is Lil Wayne's "I Am Not a Human Being II," followed by Blake Shelton's "Based On a True Story" at No. 3. OneRepublic's "Native" is at No. 4.
 
Fire forces “Couples Therapy” cast outside
 
The cast of VH1 reality show "Couples Therapy" was evacuated from their house Wednesday afternoon after a fire broke out in one of the rooms. The crew extinguished the flames. No one was injured. A production light had burned a couch. Production resumes today.
 
MTV: Crew wasn't with 'BUCKWILD' star when he died
 
MTV production crews were not with a young star of the reality show "BUCKWILD" when he died over Easter weekend. Shain Gandee was found dead Monday in his SUV in a mud pit, along with 2 passengers. His funeral is Sunday. All 3 died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
 
Fergie Visits Charity School In Brazil
 
Pregnant pop star Fergie paid a special visit Wednesday to a community school in Brazil. She met with students and posed for photos. She is in Brazil to help promote fashion label Hugo Boss at a special event, and attend an Inspiration Gala for AIDS Research tomorrow.
 
Gloria Estefan Returns to Sony, Will Release 'Standards' Album in Fall
 
Gloria Estefan has returned to her longtime label, Sony Music, for a multi-album agreement. It begins with the release of her upcoming English-language album, "The Standards," due out this Fall. She spent 30 years in Sony, then left in 2011 to join Verve and Universal.
 
Richie Sambora quits tour over “personal matter”
 
Richie Sambora allegedly quit Bon Jovi's world tour because of tensions between him and frontman Jon Bon Jovi. He left the tour over “a personal matter.” The band hopes he’s back for their date in Los Angeles April 19. In 2011, Richie was left out of dates to attend rehab.
 
'America's Got Talent' moving to Radio City Music Hall
 
"America's Got Talent" is moving from the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark to Radio City Music. Mel B and Heidi Klum are joining Howie Mandel and Howard Stern as new judges. Nick Cannon is to return as host. The show taped in Los Angeles its first 6 seasons.

Kim Kardashian has a commitment for an appearance in NYC for her perfume line on May 6. That’s the opening day of her courtroom face-off with Kris Humphries. She doesn’t have to be there: Kris has the burden of proving fraud, so he's first up in calling witnesses.
 
'Glee' star Heather Morris is pregnant
 
Heather Morris, a cast member of the Ohio high school-set TV series "Glee," is pregnant with her first child. Morris, who is 26, has been dating Taylor Hubbell since high school. She is currently at 3 months. She plays ditzy cheerleader Brittany.
