Disney's 'Oz' bewitches box office with $80M debut
"Oz the Great and the Powerful" earned $80.3 million at the weekend box office for first place. In its 2nd weekend, "Jack the Giant Slayer" was second place with $10 million. “Identity Thief” was 3rd with $6.3 million, followed by “Dead Man Down” & “Snitch”.
Rihanna postpones concert in Boston
Rihanna was forced to cancel her concert in Boston last night after she contracted laryngitis. Doctors are ordered her to rest her voice. The show will be rescheduled. For now, her show Tuesday night in Baltimore is still scheduled.
Elizabeth Hasselbeck vacating “The View” after 9 years
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is being fired from "The View." She has been told her contract will not be renewed. Brooke Shields is in discussion to join the panel. Elizabeth has been on the show 9 years. Joy Behar announced last week she is leaving after 16 years.

Report: Kelly Osbourne to be tested for epilepsy
Kelly Osbourne remains in a Los Angeles hospital, where doctors have been trying to determine what caused her to have a seizure. She was hospitalized Thursday after collapsing on the set of her reality show “Fashion Police”. For now, she’s doing fine.
Bieber resumes tour after scuffle, health problems
Justin Bieber is recovering from a rough week last week. He showed up late at a concert, passed out at another, and tried to fight a smart-mouth paparazzi Friday. He moves on to Portugal tonight, but a second show there tomorrow night is canceled.
Taylor Swift Visits Young Cancer Sufferer In Nebraska
Taylor Swift on Saturday paid a surprise visit to a cancer-stricken fan in Nebraska. She kicks off her “Red” tour in Omaha on Wednesday. She took a break from rehearsals and headed to the city's Children's Hospital. She and 10-year-old Lauren Hacker spent an hour together.
Pregnant Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott expecting a girl
Hillary Scott's publicist has revealed she is having a girl. She is the singer for the vocal group Lady Antebellum. She and husband Chris Tyrrell announced in December they are expecting their first child together. The baby's anticipated due date has not been disclosed.
One Direction pulls tattoo request
One Direction has deleted a social media request for fans to submit footage of their tattoos of the group. The footage was to be used in their upcoming movie. Many that follow the band are under the age of 18, the legal age. The tweet has been removed.
Singer/soap star Rick Springfield arrested
Rick Springfield was arrested Friday morning for neglecting to show up in court on a DUI charge a few weeks ago. His wife brought the necessary paperwork down to the station, and he was freed. He returns to General Hospital for several episodes in April.
Paris Jackson invited to try out for Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders
Paris Jackson is drawing interest from the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleading squad. They were impressed with the video of her prep school varsity squad. They said she has “poise, confidence, and enthusiasm.” She’s now 14, but has an invitation to try out at age 18.
Rapper 40 Glocc was $4 million for beat down by The Game
Rapper 40 Glocc is gunning for $4.5 million, and his target is The Game. Glocc sued Game over a street fight between the two in July outside a Hollywood Hills mansion. Game posted the footage on YouTube. Glocc has filed legal documents demanding $4.5 million.

Australian model and actress Elle Macpherson is engaged to billionaire real estate developer Jeffrey Soffer. They dated for 2 years before breaking up last March, and are now back together and engaged. She will move to Miami, where Soffer lives.
Holly Madison Defends Daughter's Name
Holly Madison has defended her decision to call her new baby Rainbow. She insists the unusual name will make her daughter stronger as she grows up. The baby was born last Tuesday. Holly was inspired by a girl she went to school with who had the same name.
'Motown: The Musical' ready for Broadway
Motown: The Musical opens for previews tonight at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway. The red carpet will be rolled out April 14. Founder Berry Gordy wrote the initial script and has been hands-on throughout the process. The show will have a pair of albums.

Marvel Entertainment is making more than 700 first issues available to digital readers for free through the Marvel app and the company's website. After Tuesday, they'll be sold for $1.99 to $3.99 per issue. Comic fans, both new and old, can read where it all began.
