Former judge Steven Tyler made a surprise cameo on American Idol last night – dressed as a drag queen. He looked eerily like Joan Rivers. 45 singers from the Oklahoma auditions advanced. Only 5 actually aired last night. The show heads to Hollywood next week.
Beyonce admits Inauguration Day pre-recording
Beyonce stood before reporters in New Orleans Thursday. She then delivered a live, flawless version of the national anthem. She admitted to singing along to a pre-recorded track at the inauguration. When asked about her Super Bowl show, she said: "I will be singing live.”
Timbaland signs with Jay-Z
Timbaland has signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. Jay posted a picture of them together on his Life + Times blog, with a caption reading: ''We would like to welcome Timbaland to the Roc Nation family!'' Timbaland also previously produced tracks for Jay-Z.
Kara DioGuardi Welcomes Son Greyson James
Kara DioGuardi and husband Mike McCuddy welcomed a son on Thursday in Los Angeles. Greyson James Carroll McCuddy was born via surrogate. He weighs 8 lbs., 10 oz. Carroll honors DioGuardi’s late mother. DioGuardi has not been able to carry a baby full-term.
Jennifer Hudson to sing with Sandy Hook chorus
Jennifer Hudson will join the chorus from Sandy Hook Elementary School to sing "America the Beautiful" before Sunday's Super Bowl. The chorus features 26 children from the school in Newtown, Conn. Alicia Keys will sing the national anthem.
Lohan seeks $1M from company over fashion line
Lindsay Lohan has sued her former business partner on a clothing line. The lawsuit claims a clothing manufacturer who previously worked with Lohan continues to sell items under the actress' 6126 Collection. She is designing a new line with a new company.
Ebony Day named winner of MTV Brand New 2013
YouTube sensation Ebony Day is being called 'The Female Justin Bieber.' She won MTV’s competition to find a new artist. Over 500 entered. 30,000 votes were cast and she won. She has over 19 million views on her channel, singing covers of other people’s tracks.
CBS to air special on Whitney Houston's death and Grammys
CBS will air a behind-the-scenes look at how Whitney Houston's death affected the 2012 Grammy Awards. The hour-long special airs Feb. 9, the eve of this year's music awards. It includes interviews with LL Cool J, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift and other artists.
