The Times Square New Year's Eve ball will be re-lit tonight and be visible all year. It traditionally is only on display for the New Year holiday. Visitors to New York say the Ball is among their favorite attractions. It will sit atop the pole at Manhattan's One Times Square.

'Tennessee Waltz' singer Patti Page dies at 85

You don’t know her, but your grandparents did. 1950s singer Patti Page died New Year’s Day at age 85. Her biggest hits were "Tennessee Waltz" and "How Much Is That Doggie in the Window?" She’ll receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming Grammys.
