Michelle Obama delivered David Letterman's Top 10 list last night: "Top Ten Reasons to Watch the Democratic National Convention." No. 4: "There will be no Kiss Cam." It was her fifth appearance on the show this year. She spoke at the DNC Tuesday night.
Mariah Carey Kicks Off Football Season With No Doubt
The NFL season started last night. The Kickoff Show at Rockefeller Center featured Mariah Carey and No Doubt. Carey sang "Triumphant” while No Doubt performed "Settle Down." Just before kickoff, Queen Latifah sang the National Anthem backed by the Jubilation Choir.
MTV, DNC to offer live entertainment for evening viewers
Both the VMAs and the Democratic National Convention have lined up stars to pull in viewers tonight. Mary J. Blige, James Taylor, the Foo Fighters and Earth, Wind & Fire will be in Charlotte while the awards are handed out on MTV. President Obama speaks after 10 pm.
Kellie Pickler cuts off hair to support friend
Singer Kellie Pickler cut off her long, blond hair to show support for her cancer survivor friend. She & longtime friend Summer Holt Miller had their hair shaved off in Nashville Tuesday. Miller underwent a recent double mastectomy & begins chemotherapy today.
Michael Clarke Duncan's services set for next week
Michael Clarke Duncan's life will be celebrated with a public casket viewing & private service next week. His casket will be on view from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. An invitation-only service will follow on Monday.

Lady Gaga announces winter tour dates, bypasses Hampton Roads
Lady Gaga has announced the tour dates for the North America leg of her Born This Way Ball tour. The U.S. and Canada dates list 26 cities, launching Jan. 11 in Vancouver and concluding March 16 in Miami. Her 4th album, "ARTPOP" is due out in 2013.
Lady Gaga's meat dress to be shown in DC museum
Lady Gaga's famous meat dress has made its way to Washington. The dress from the 2010 Video Music Awards is now dried & painted to restore its raw meat color. It's being displayed at the National Museum of Women in the Arts with an explanation of her political message.
T-Pain Breaks Toe
Rapper T-Pain was hospitalized on Wednesday after breaking the little toe on his left foot. He took to his Twitter page to share pictures with his followers. He wrote, "Got the Spongebob room in the hospital today. This should be fun. Hurts like hell.”

Prosecutors have charged Amanda Bynes with hit-and-run for 2 traffic crashes in recent months. Her arraignment is Sept. 27. She was charged for leaving the scene of two accidents April 10 and Aug. 4, without providing proper information.

Robin Roberts was scheduled to check into a New York hospital this week. Instead, she's at home in Mississippi with family. Her mother, Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts, died last Thursday in Gulfport. She was 88. Robin will check into the hospital next week.

Children's author Judy Blume was diagnosed with breast cancer over the summer. She underwent a successful mastectomy and reconstruction in late July. She is 74. She is recovering at home in New York, and hopes to begin writing again soon.

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Joe South has died. He was 72. He passed away at his home in Buford, Georgia after suffering heart failure. He won 2 Grammys for his 1968 song “Games People Play.” He played guitar on tunes by Aretha Franklin and Bob Dylan.
