Platters founder Herb Reed dead at 83

Herb Reed, the last surviving member of the vocal quintet The Platters, has died in Massachusetts after a period of declining health. He was 83 when he died Monday. The Platters released over 400 recordings between July 1955 and August 1968.

Melissa Etheridge discovers domestic partnership ain’t cheap

The settlement agreement between Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels has been made public. Melissa must pay Tammy $13,000 a month in spousal support and $10,000 a month child support. Tammy also gets a 50% cut of music royalties for their time together.

Debra Messing Files for Divorce

Debra Messing has filed for divorce. The former “Will and Grace” star filed her petition in Los Angeles on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences. She and Daniel Zelman married in Sept. 2000. They separated in February 2010. They have an 8-year-old son.
