"The Hunger Games" won 4 MTV Movie Awards out of 8 nominations. The Harry Potter and Twilight sequels were also multiple-award winners. “Breaking Dawn - Part 1" won for movie of the year. Johnny Depp was given the MTV Generation Award for lifetime achievement.

20-year-old Rhode Island cellist wins Miss USA

A 20-year-old cellist from Rhode Island is the new Miss USA. Olivia Culpo will represent the United States in the Miss Universe pageant in Dec. She topped a field of 51 contestants. She is a sophomore at Boston University. Miss Virginia was not among the finalists.



Elton John Back On Stage, ready to play for the Queen

Elton John returned to the stage last night for the first time since his recent health scare. He braved wet and windy conditions at Somerset County Cricket Ground in London to play his biggest hits. Tonight, he will perform for Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.

'Feud' host Richard Dawson dead at 79

Richard Dawson, who hosted "Family Feud" for 20 years, died this weekend. He died at a Los Angeles hospital from esophageal cancer. He was 79. Dawson played a British POW on the popular "Hogan's Heroes" sitcom in the 1960s.

Disney World bumps up ticket prices

Florida's Walt Disney World is bumping up the price of its single-day ticket $4 to $89. The increase comes on the heels of an increase in the basic ticket price at nearby Universal Orlando to $88. Season passes sold to Florida residents increased to $299 per year.

Barrymore marries Kopelman

Drew Barrymore married art consultant Will Kopelman Saturday at her estate in Montecito, California. About 200 people attended the Jewish wedding ceremony. It is the third marriage for Barrymore, who is pregnant.

Actress Kathryn Joosten died of lung cancer Saturday. She was 72. She played Karen McCluskey in "Desperate Housewives." She fought lung cancer for 11 years. She also played the president’s secretary Mrs. Landingham in The West Wing.

A sexually explicit song Brian Mcknight recorded has been pulled from YouTube. He wrote the racy track for an adult website that helped sell song an explicit song he released in April. He has assured fans this is not his new musical direction - it was all part of a prank.
