A man jumped over a barrier last night & lunged at Brad Pitt on the Red Carpet in Hollywood. He was attending the premier of "Maleficent,” which stars wife Angelina Jolie. Security guards pounced. Ukrainian serial prankster Vitalii Sediuk is jailed for battery.

Casey Kasem's wife ordered to appear in court

The wife of Casey Kasem has been ordered to appear in a Washington state court tomorrow. His daughter Kerri has a court order to see her ailing father. If Jean Kasem fails to show, she will be arrested. The court will determine if Casey is receiving adequate care.

George Michael taken to hospital after collapse

George Michael was taken to a hospital after collapsing at his north London home May 22. He was treated by paramedics before being helped into an ambulance. His agent would not release details. He has had to deal with a number of health problems over the years.

Lady Gaga Axes Gigs Due To Bronchitis

Lady Gaga has postponed two upcoming concerts due to bronchitis. Shows in Seattle and Vancouver will be rescheduled. The Seattle show was scheduled last night, the Vancouver gig tomorrow night. She apologized to her fans on Twitter, and promised to return.

Forbes has released its annual list of The World's 100 Most Powerful Women. German chancellor Angela (hard G) Merkel is at the top. Hillary Clinton clocks in at number six, two spots ahead of Michelle Obama. The top female celebrity is Beyonce at number seventeen.

Hayden Penettiere is pregnant. Her fiancé is boxing star Vladimir Klitschko. They met in 2009, briefly split up, then reconciled in 2013. They got engaged last October. She is preparing to return to the set of “Nashville” to tape shows for the fall season.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" earned $111 million over the Memorial Day weekend. It earned $302 million in 119 countries. "Godzilla" dropped to No. 2 with $39.4 million from Thursday to Monday. "Blended" held the third place spot with an $18.2 million debut.

George Clooney to marry at Downton Abbey castle in September

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin want to marry at Highclere Castle, the country house where 'Downton Abbey' is filmed. They took a tour of the castle last week. It costs $23,000 to rent for a wedding (pocket change). They are making arrangements with the owners.

Actor David Schwimmer came to the aid of NYC police yesterday. He provided surveillance footage of a violent brawl outside his townhouse in East Village. The video shows 2 men smashing through a glass door in the building's lobby.

Mary Tyler Moore is reportedly going blind after a lifetime struggle with diabetes. Betty White told Closer Magazine Moore "is almost beyond the point of being able to see." She is 77, and has had Type 1 diabetes since age 33. She is limiting TV appearances.

Lifetime TV channel will air a movie about Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's relationship. It will be directed by Angela Bassett. Lifetime says the movie, with the working title "Whitney Houston," will air in 2015. The cast hasn't been announced.

Caleb Johnson is the season 13 "American Idol" winner. He is a native of Asheville, NC.                      17-year-old Jena Irene, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, was runner-up. They will both attend her high school prom. Fox will cut the show from two nights a week to one next season.

"The Voice" wrapped up season 6 last night. Josh Kaufman won a recording contract with Universal Music Group and $100,000 cash. It was Usher’s first win as a coach. Performers included OneRepublic, Ed Sheeran, Robin Thicke, Coldplay and Alabama.

Front-runner Meryl Davis wins DWTS

"DWTS" has crowned the winner of its 18th season. Meryl Davis was declared the winner after a performance of "Human" by Christina Perri. Candace and Mark finished third, while Amy and Derek were the runner-up.  Cody Simpson and Ariana Grande also performed.
