The "American Idol" Top 13 performed last night. They had to pick a song which reflected them as both a performer and a person. The night’s standout seemed to be Majesty Rose, who sang Janelle Monae's "Tightrope". All 3 judges gave her a positive review.

Jim Lange, 'The Dating Game' host, dies

Jim Lange, the first host of "The Dating Game," has died at his home in Calif. He was 81. His wife Nancy said he died Tuesday morning after suffering a heart attack. He also had a successful career in radio. He hosted The Dating Game from 1965 through the late 1970s.

Katy Perry & John Mayer Break Up ahead of tours

Katy Perry and John Mayer have reportedly split again after a year-and-a-half. He will continue touring internationally behind "Paradise Valley" in April, while her PRISMATIC world tour begins in May. Strangely, their rep has not confirmed nor denied reports of a breakup.

CNN's prime-time talk show "Piers Morgan Live" is coming to an end. He succeeded Larry King in the 9 p.m. time slot three years ago. His future with CNN is undetermined. He believes Americans were tired of hearing a Brit weigh in on American cultural issues.

"The LEGO Movie" led the box office for the third weekend with $31.4 million. "3 Days to Kill" with Kevin Costner was a distant second with $12.3 million. "Pompeii" was third with $10.million; "RoboCop" 4th with $9.4 million; "The Monuments Men" fifth with $8.1 million.

NBC has ordered 13 episodes of a new cop drama starring Jennifer Lopez. "Shades of Blue" will feature Lopez as a single mother and dirty cop recruited to work for the FBI's undercover anti-corruption task force. The show will air in the 2015-16 season.

The Internal Revenue Service says Michael Jackson's estate owes $505 million in taxes and $197 million in penalties. The IRS said his net worth at the time of his death was closer to $1.1 billion. The IRS levied a “gross valuation misstatement penalty” for underpayment.

Jay Leno last night told how he was poised to make his network debut on Dean Martin's show in 1974. That night, President Richard Nixon resigned in the Watergate scandal. Leno's appearance didn't happen. Leno quipped, "Making me the last guy screwed by Nixon."
