'American Idol' brings back Jermaine Jones

The “American Idol” judges brought back Jermaine Jones from Las Vegas to compete with the men. He’s among the 13 male semifinalists. The top 12 female singers perform tonight. All top 25 semifinalists learn Thursday night if they are among the viewer-selected top 10.

Jennifer Garner gives birth to a son

Jennifer Garner has given birth to her third child, a son, in Santa Monica, Calif. She is married to actor Ben Affleck. They have two daughters, Violet, 6, and Serafina, 3. Her publicist did not release any further details. They announced the pregnancy in August.

Celine Dion cancels more Vegas shows on doctor's orders

Celine Dion has canceled more shows at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace. A virus is causing an inflammation of her vocal cords. She’s been ordered to rest her voice for 6 to 8 weeks. She hopes to resume performances June 9. Tickets to her show sell for $250 apiece.

John Mayer concert tour raises money for troops, in Richmond April 24

A portion of the proceeds from John Mayer's upcoming concert tour will benefit U.S. war veterans. He kicks off his first U.S. tour in two years April 9. He will stop in 18 cities through May 6. He’s in Richmond April 24. His 5th album "Born & Raised" is out March 22.

Kelsey and Camille Grammer Reach Amicable Custody Agreement

Camille Grammer and ex-husband Kelsey have finally reached an amicable settlement over their children Mason and Jude. They will stay with her in California. A financial settlement is in negotiation. Kelsey is currently expecting twins with new wife Kayte Walsh.

Charlie Sheen, Russell Brand sitcoms to debut June 28 on FX

Charlie Sheen’s "Anger Management" arrives June 28 on FX. "Anger Management" is loosely based on the 2003 movie about a non-traditional therapist. FX has ordered 10 episodes for the first season. Russell Brand’s new comedy "Strangely Uplifting" also premieres that night.

 

Whitney Houston's Family wants to know Who Leaked Death Scene Photos

Whitney Houston's family is asking law enforcement to investigate death scene photos. One showed a body bag on a gurney being taken out of the hotel. Several hotel staffers have been fired for talking to media. Her family wants whoever took the pics held accountable.

Bobby Brown's Sister: 'Whitney's Death Was No Accident'

Bobby Brown's sister claims Whitney Houston's death was no accident. Leolah Brown has contacted police in Beverly Hills with her suspicions. Her attorney told her not to reveal any details. She said Bobby is not involved. Police are still interviewing family, friends & doctors.

Jennifer Hudson on witness list for upcoming murder trial

Jennifer Hudson is on the witness list for the upcoming Chicago trial of the man accused of killing her mother, brother and nephew in 2008. Prosecutors believe William Balfour killed the family because he was angry that Julia Hudson, her sister, was dating another man.

New Madonna music has arrived. Girl Gone Wild - not to be confused with Joe Francis' Girls Gone Wild - has just been released. It's the second single from her upcoming “MDNA” album, due out March 26. Joe Francis is looking into the legality of the song title.

Simon Cowell has split from his on/off fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy. He vacationed with a group of women without her in January. Cowell recently insisted he was confused about the romance. His friend Zeta Graff said she was too needy, and he was getting mixed signals.

'Idol' unveils Top 24 with a twist

"American Idol" is now down to 25 contestants. The top 13 men will perform live next Tuesday, with the top 12 women taking the stage live Wednesday. The first viewer elimination is next Thursday. The judges are bringing back one more guy Tuesday.

Miami Beach police check Chris Brown phone theft claim

Chris Brown is being investigated by Miami Police. A woman said he and Tyga had just left a nightclub Sunday. He got into a Bentley. She took his picture with her iPhone. He reached out and grabbed it, & took off. That would be felony robbery. He’s still on probation.

National Enquirer won't apologize for Whitney death photo, calls it 'beautiful'

The National Enquirer isn't apologizing for its picture of Whitney Houston in her casket on the cover. Publisher Mary Beth Wright said "I thought it was beautiful." The tabloid did the same with Elvis Presley in 1977. Whoever sold the Whitney photo earned over 6 figures.

A photo apparently showing Whitney Houston in her casket is on the cover of the National Enquirer this week. The photo shows a woman wearing a dark dress lying in a coffin. The story says “she was buried in her favorite purple dress, with gold slippers on her feet."

Tabloid: Prescription drug, alcohol combo killed Whitney Houston

The tabloid website RadarOnline says Whitney Houston died of a lethal combination of Valium, Xanax and alcohol. The site says Whitney did not drown in the bathtub…her heart stopped beating. The coroner is awaiting results of her blood-alcohol content.

Aretha Franklin says Cissy Houston raised daughter Whitney well. She said an interview where she said parents need to make sure children "leave home prepared" was taken out of context. She received 4 invitations to the funeral. She & Cissy Houston remain friends.

Leonardo DiCaprio has purchased the ruby slippers worn by Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz'. They will be given to the film academy’s museum. They were used in the close-up shots of the 1939 movie starring Judy Garland. Four pairs were used in the film.

Grammy boost for Adele's '21,' 21st week on top

Adele's album "21" has spent 21 weeks atop Billboard's Top 200 albums chart. It has now sold 7.3M copies. It won 6 Grammy Awards. It's the longest stint for a woman at the top of the album chart, displacing Whitney Houston’s "The Bodyguard."

Adele flips finger after speech cut short at Brit Awards

At the Brit Awards in London last night, Adele won for Best Album. She was thanking fans, and her speech was cut off. She flipped the finger & was rushed offstage. She said that was for the “suits.” The show included video tributes to Amy Winehouse & Whitney Houston.

Obama joins Mick Jagger, B.B. King, Buddy Guy to belt out blues

President Obama got to sing again last night. The White House hosted a concert of blues all-stars. The president joined in singing his hometown anthem "Sweet Home Chicago" at the end. The concert will be shown on PBS stations Monday night.

Don Cornelius, creator of the legendary music series "Soul Train," died Wednesday. He was 75. The show ran for 35 seasons. Before broadcasting, he was an insurance salesman. He’s best known for wishing his viewers "love, peace, and SOUL!" at the end of each show.

Cornelius’ hated ex-wife to get insurance money

Don Cornelius died with 2 life insurance policies. His ex-wife, Viktoria Chapman Cornelius, will be paid $300,000 in benefits. They went thru a bitter divorce that was finalized in 2009. He was convicted of domestic abuse. She pepper sprayed him multiple times.

Screenings of 3D 'Titanic' sold out

Advance tickets for the Feb. 14 preview screenings of "Titanic in 3D" have sold out nationwide. The 1997 film will be re-released in 3D April 6. April 14 is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the luxury liner. The original film won 11 Academy Awards.

David Letterman celebrated his 30th anniversary in late night television last night. His guests were Bill Murray and Regis Philbin. Murray was his guest on his first show Feb 1, 1982. Last night, he gave Dave a cupcake with 30 candles. They all kicked field goals on 53rd Street.
