And Happy 1st Day of Spring ... now if only we could get the temps back in to 60s and have nothing but sunshine 24/7. I am soo ready for WARM WEATHER! Especially on Sunday. We have an Easter Egg Hunt party to attend in Norfolk with friends ... and guess what?! The forecast is saying RAIN and 46 Degrees. BOO HOO! Clearly Mother Nature is not a fan of the Easter Bunny.
Regardless of the weather - I still plan on dressing Maggie (and Mommy!) as if we walked out of Charleston, SC. Bold patterns! Bright colors! I love getting dressed up for Easter - Church service/Brunch/Egg Hunts. LOVE IT! And here's what I love the most - putting Maggie in a SMOCKED DRESS! Oh it is just the cutest.

St Patrick's Day has come & gone again. WAH! Chuck and I hosted the BIG BIG BIG After Party in OV at Knights of Columbus. Super fun! Glad the sun came out. YAY! Here we are with our co-worker Devin from Z104 & her boyfriend.
On Sunday - Chuck & I spent the day in Toano (Williamsburg) hosting the St Baldrick's Event with 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union. They raised $40,000 !!!! Incredible. Here we are with some Firemen who shaved their heads for the event!

GOOD MORNING!!! Happy Thursday...we are 1 day closer to F R I D A Y! That makes me very happy. I am meeting my girlfriend Pamela for dinner/drinks tonight in VB. Can't wait. Girl Time is the best. Looking forward to getting together with her. I've known Pamela since we were 5 years old. Love having friendships that span the years. Awesome! CRAZY! I still remember being pregnant & eating LAYS Potato Chips in bulk. I LOVE SALT! If you gave me a bag of chips & a box of cookies...I would eat the chips. Definitely a salt over sweet girl.
ANYWAY - Maggie is turning 2 March 10th and I am in Party Planning Mode. I've got a list of food I need to order (Pollard's Chicken Fingers!) and a list of supplies I need to buy. We are having the party at my InLaws house in Norfolk. About 50 parents/kids....I like to throw a party. HA! I need to order cupcakes too. Party favors are these cute little sugar cookies I found on ETSY. I used the same lady last year. LOVE! They were delicious. Here's a pic:
As for entertainment - I do not disappoint the toddlers!!! My goal is make them happy...and TIRED! They need to stay busy at a Birthday party. Last year I had BIRDIE'S RENTALS come set up an inflatable Bounce House outside in the backyard...and I looooved them so much - I am using them again. It was awesome! The highlight of the party! They set up everything...and the Bounce House is clean as a whistle! No holes. No stains. It was fantastic! Every Mom/Dad/Grandma was asking me "Who did I rent from"?! Well the secret is out...it's BIRDIE'S!! I highly recommend them for your next party/event/school carnival. CLICK HERE to see the Bounce House I ordered last year. I am getting the same model this year because it is very "Toddler Friendly".
We are also adding a PONY to the party this year. I told you...I love throwing Birthday parties! Seriously - some of my BEST childhood memories are the Birthday Parties my parents threw me! So I have a pony coming to give pony rides to the kids from The Teeny Tiny Farm. I know they will LOVE it!!! Maggie is definitely at the age where she will ride a pony! I can't wait. There will be some older kids at the party too...and I know they will enjoy it. Now let's just hope we have SUNSHINE!!! PLEASE!!

What's been going on lately...the Oscars, horsemeat being served at IKEA - who eats the food at a furniture store!?! - and I am currently wearing jeans and a tshirt because it's that time of the month and I am in NO mood to get dressed up for work. Being a girl stinks at times. And this is one of those times. Too much info? My bad. I have no censors. And I want a cheeseburger!!
I've been running a LOT lately & I am soo proud. I busted out 3.4 miles yesterday in 26 minutes. Cramp city!! Hoping I can run some races here soon. March 1st I am going to start lifting some light weights at the gym & doing more ab work. I run every other day & go to Hot House Yoga. Great blend I must say! I love it. No better feeling than a good sweat & a healthy diet. LOVE!
That's all I got for right now. I need to go find some Midol & a glass of wine. Too early for wine? DAMN. I need Midol & a hot bath. Fellas you have NO idea how lucky you are sometimes.

TGIF!!! WHAT A WEEEEEEEEK! We made it. And now it's raining. Awesome! While I don't plan on getting drunk this weekend (I'm a Mom!) I do plan on drinking a bottle of wine. Or 2! HA! When Maggie goes to bed at 7PM - I put on the sweatpants. Take off the bra. Put on my husband's tshirt & flop on the couch with a glass of white wine. I CAN'T WAIT. HA HA! It's the little things. McCoy is in Orlando all weekend...just me, the dog, the kid & the wine. I am a ROCKSTAR. Funny that my husband texted me at 7AM today to say he "forgot his bathing suit". UMMMMMMM...Hold the phone. It's a WORK conference Mister. What in the heck do you need a pair of board shorts for? You gonna hold a meeting poolside?! If that's the case...Mickey, Minnie & I are JEALOUS. I forgot my swimsuit...BAH!
How about this weather? Crazy rain & wind. I will take RAIN over SNOW anyday!! The NorthEast is about to get a major a$$ whooping. Snow is a pain. I would go stir crazy!!! Rain I can handle. Snow I can not handle. I don't ski. I don't like to be cold. I don't like all the layers of clothing you have to put on just to go outside. I put the NO in S(NO)W. Me no likey.

Maggie & I will have a 'Girls Only' weekend while Daddy is away. We have a Birthday Party Saturday morning at 10AM...then maybe a trip to the park...and possibly pizza with friends. Love my MagPie! Here's a recent pic of Maggie & Murphy at the park. Her hair is soo blonde. I'm jealous! I pay big bucks for that blonde Maggie!!!
Hoping I can squeeze a 5 mile run & some hot yoga in this weekend too. Might need to call a Grandparent to stay with Mags so I can get some exercise in. Went to Hot House Yoga last night. And Monday night! I am alternating Yoga with Running. Why? One word: BIKINI.
Random thought...I told you this blog was random! If you go to Trader Joe's...buy the Firecracker Shrimp. It's YUMMY YUMMY! Incredible. And easy to make. With a side of brown rice & a cold beer. Dinner is served.
Everyone at the office is on their 'Best Behavior' this week because the "BIG WIGS" are in town. I crack myself up...BIG WIGS. Get it? HA HA HA! Too funny.
Last but certainly not least...I had a Blog reader post in my comments (HI READER!) asking if there was anywhere locally that would be showing the GRAMMY RED CARPET on TV. With volume. And some Red Carpet Pre-Show stuff too. I don't know of anywhere...do you? Like a local bar or club or restaurant?! Help a reader out! I feel ya' sister...you need to watch the GRAMMY Red Carpet. It's almost better than the actual show. HA!

Good Morning! Happy HumpDay & Happy 41 Days til' Spring!!!! Praise the Lord. I am OVER this cold weather...I don't want anymore snow. I don't want to wipe anymore runny noses. I don't want to have to worry about Flu season. I want SUNSHINE!!! And temps in the 70s. Is that too much to ask? HA!

1.) A HARD ROCK BODY!
I want a 6 pack of abs. I don't want to look like a crazy body builder. I want to be feminine but toned. Thus the reason I am running 12-15 miles a week & hitting up Hot House Yoga 3 times a week at night. Bikini season is right around the corner...so I gotta get ready! Be Healthy. Be Happy. Be Sexy. That's my motto. I am hoping my hard work & dedication will pay off. For lunch yesterday I ate a salad. Who am I? HA!
2.) A CHEESEBURGER & FRIES
Funny how working out & eating healthy can make you...or is it just me?...crave JUNK FOOD! I have never wanted to eat a burger more than I have now. I live right down the street from Five Guys...and I swear, I am tempted to find a corner booth & sit alone. With a cheeseburger. And just eat my face off!!!! Mmmmmmm....get in my belly!
3.) TORY BURCH WEDGES
These shoes are ADORABLE! And I need them. I want them. I HAVE TO HAVE THEM!!! And yes - I can indeed chase a toddler in 4 inch heels. Love these shoes. They are called the 'Georgie' wedge. Size 7, please!
4.) A HOUSE - WITH AN UPDATED KITCHEN!
My husband and I have been looking for a house for almost a year now!!! And I will tell you - IT SUCKS! It sucks big time. Especially when you aren't a millionaire - yet have high expectations. UGH! It sucks. I hate it. We are blessed to have a nice condo in Norfolk & a roof over our head...but it is tiny. The walls are closing in. Our real estate agent is the BOMB DOT COM. I effing LOVE Bobby Lawrence at William E Wood. LOVE HIM. He is fantastic. McCoy & I don't want a mansion. Just a simple house with a nice kitchen. In Norfolk. Is that too much to ask?! Grrrrrrrr...Thanks Bobby for putting up with us. HA HA!
5.) A MAXI DRESS FOR SUMMER
I practically LIVE in cotton dresses all Summer. Short or Long...I will gladly wear either. Target has great dresses - very affordable! But I am loooooving this Maxi Dress from Victoria's Secret. Classic & Comfy. Come payday...I *might* purchase you. We shall see...

Can you tell I really love that restaurant? My wonderful husband is staying home with Maggie so I can have a 'Night Out'. But please...I will still be home by 10PM. And asleep by 10:01PM. HA!
Saturday - McCoy has kickball in Hampton ALL day. Yes - grown men of 38 play the same game we played as kids in grade school. Big red ball. Kick. Catch. Run. While he plays - MagPie and I are headed to a 'Prosecco PlayDate'. It's exactly what it sounds like. Kids play. Moms sip champagne. HA! Saturday Night we have our company party. Fancy Dress Up Night for ME!!! I'm thinking the shorter, the better. HA! All this running I've been doing - might as well show off my legs. While I can. 29 & feelin' fine. Clearly - this Iced Venti I am drinking right now has me in a good mood.
Sunday - BIG BAME DAY! Ravens vs 49ers. My BFF Lindsay is having a party at her house. Pizza Wings Beer and her mom's Top Secret White Wine Cake. No kids. Just adults. Soo excited!! Buffalo Wild Wings Asian Zing wings are my faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave. Get in ma' belly!

GOOD MORNING! How about that wind & rain last night. Oh My Goodness. I thought somebody was trying to break into our house. HA! The wind was strong....60 MPH wind gusts in Downtown Norfolk. Incredible how we went from freezing cold temps & snow...to sunshine & rainbows...to wind & rain...and now temps going back down tonight. Weather is CR-CR-CR-CRAZY!!!
So I have been perusing TARGET lately for some Spring/Summer Fashion ideas. TARGET always has the BEST stuff. Always. Cheap little sundresses - afforable sandals & kick ass bikinis. Love me some Tar-Jay! Here are 2 pairs of shoes I have my eye on...
Aren't those cute? Love. I think I will hit up Target after work today. Aside from shopping. working, and being Maggie's Mommy...I have been hit by the running bug. HARD. I used to run Cross Country at Maury High School back in the day (COMMODORES!!! 2001!) ...and I have always enjoyed running. But you know what happens, right? LIFE GETS IN THE WAY! I was soo busy after Maggie was born. Trying to balance work & home - there was no TIME to run. And I was EXHAUSTED! Well something happened in the last 2 months and I have found myself running 12-14 miles a week. Incredible, right?! I am even impressed. HA! I did a 3.16 Mile run last night in 27 minutes and 45 seconds. I was jammin'...ran a 8:47 minute mile. HOLLA!!! I downloaded this App called 'RUNTASTIC' that tracks your run. It is really what keeps me moitvated. Well that & Lil Wayne. HA! I have to listen to LOUD party music when I run. It's a MUST.
I'm thinking Runners World Magazine might be calling me soon...A girl can dream!
