0-13 Days!

0-13 DAYS...that's when Maggie should hopefully arrive! My due date is 13 days away - March 13th! But some of my friends and co-workers said I need to stop saying "I have ___ days left". They say I can go any day now. So - here we are, waiting. That is the hardest part is the wait. I wake up 100 times a night wondering if my water broke. And it hasn't. Mmmm...when will Miss Maggie decide to show up. We are ready! The nursery is ready. I've got all the paperwork ready to go - I'm adding her to my insurance - and I just got all the paperwork for that. So it's back to waiting...waiting...waiting.

Baby #1...

While we wait for Maggie to arrive - there are officially 17 days until her "due date"...I keep wondering if Baby #1 will get along with Baby #2. And of course, I am talking about MURPHY! I consider him my 1st born. Dogs are kids too ya know! They just have 4 legs and bark at strangers. I was tempted to buy a book about how to get the dog to adjust to the baby, but I think we will figure it out on our own. There are only so many books I can read...between Baby Wise, What to Expect and a BreastFeeding book - I can't read anymore! Here's to hoping Maggie & Murphy get along like these 2:

Modern Maternity Belly Casting!

WOO HOO! What an awesome, unique, fabulous experience I had with the mother/daughter team last night that is "MODERN MATERNITY"!!! I've known about this "Belly Casting" for about a month now - and I have to admit, I was a little skeptical. I just didn't know what to expect. I didn't know if I would like it, or if I would even want to remember my belly all big and round. Boy was I wrong! I LOOOOOVED it. If you are pregnant - or know someone who is - this is a GREAT gift to give them. Tamra & Brenda have an in home studio for the belly casting in Virginia Beach. It's GORGEOUS! And the house smelled like fresh cut roses. It was a total relaxing/spa atmosphere! They evern served me fresh fruit and water out of a wine glass. SCORE! It was an easy & painless process...lasted about 45 minutes. I just sat back in the chair & they laid the strips of plaster on my belly. It will be about 2 weeks until I get to see the "finished product". They sand it down (by hand!) and then paint it to your liking...the colors of the nursery, the name of the baby, a theme, etc. Whatever you want! Then the belly cast becomes a beautiful piece of art to hang in the nursery & you can look at it to remember this special time in your life. I can't wait! Here's some pics from last night:   Give Tamra & Brenda a call...CLICK HERE for info...and go get your belly casted. Or as we were joking last night, this is the 1 time in 9 months that moms to be can get "PLASTERED"!!! HA HA!! Thanks again Ladies! Still can't believe you are Mother/Daughter...looks more like Sister/Sister!! Can't wait to see the finished product. XOXO, WooWoo & Maggie :)

Swollen Feet.

So I didn't think it would happen to me...since I've had a really smooth pregnancy. No real morning sickness, no incredible weight gain, no hemorrhoids (yeh - I said it!) no stretch marks...NOTHING! With the exception of the constant getting up to go to the bathroom at 1am 2am 3am 4am etc...I've really enjoyed being pregnant! Like - really really enjoyed it!! Until this morning...when my pants felt a little tight around my right ankle. I looked down and yep - my ankles/calves/feet are starting to puff up like the Marshmallow Man and swell. Swollen Feet on Valentine's Day = SEXY! I'm gonna go elevate my feet & drink a glass of water. If you have any remedies for swollen feet...email me WOOWOO@POINTRADIO.COM Thanks! Woo

The Nursery...

FINALLY!  After months of waiting, picking paint colors, furniture and having new floors installed...the nursery for Baby Maggie is complete. Here's a boat load of pics. Sorry - they are kind of bad quality. I took them with my iPhone & the lighting was a little wonky. But you can still get an idea of what the room looks like. IT'S PINK PINK PINK! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT ! Some of the pics are super big, so to see them in full - CLICK on the pic and the full picture will pop up on your computer screen. I'm not computer savvy...or else I'd size them for you! ;) PS: Here's where I bought everything - in case you were curious! - All the furniture (crib, dresser, glider, nightstand, bookcase & shelf) is from Pottery Barn Kids. It's the "Catalina Collection". We ordered some on line & some from the store in Richmond. - The little white rocking chair belonged to McCoy's Grandmother when she was a little girl. - The step stool was a gift from the lovely ladies at CHKD who worked with us during Radiothon.  - The bedding is from Carousel Baby Bedding or BabyBedding.Com It's the Candy Pink Damask. - The ABC's painting is from Kirkland's at Mac Center. $30 bucks On Sale!! Handpicked by the Baby Daddy!! - The lamp on the nightstand was a steal...$25 from TJ Maxx at Janaf in Norfolk! - I made the framed collage with all the cards from the baby showers...very crafty! - The green rug is from The Land of Nod - LandofNod.com is the website I think. - The white letters that speel out "MAGGIE" are from ZULILY.COM I hope you like it! And it's not too bright to keep Maggie awake at night. HA HA! XOXO, WooWoo

Bookcase & BreastFeeding!

Happy Monday! It's back to work...unless you are a member of the Black Eyed Peas and you were FIREDlast night for that horrible Half Time show at the SuperBowl. OMG! I can't stop thinking about how bad that was. Anyway... Maggie's nursery is almost finished. We are just waiting on the Pottery Barn Kids bookcase to arrive. It will be delivered tomorrow morning between 9am-11am. Which means either McCoy or I will need to leave work early. I am soo excited to get the bookcase...I can put the lamp on it, and the TV and all the books/trinkets we got from friends and family. YAY FOR BOOKCASES!! And yes...I said TV. Maggie will have a TV in her nursery. I hear white noise soothes babies to sleep. So TV in the nursery it is. Here's a pic of the bookcase: And as for breastfeeding...I am all about it bout it! Bought the dang $300 Medela breast pump from Babies R Us & today I am heading to Barnes & Noble to get a book about breast feeding. I really really really wanna do it - and I really wanna be good at it. And I would have rented a pump, but the hospital we are delivering in does not rent them. RATS! My girlfriend Lauren is a pro!! Seriously - she needs to teach a class. Her son will be 1 next month, and she still nurses. He loves it! The health benefits are amazing! And it's way cheaper than formula! Plus - it's a great way to bond with baby. Sorry McCoy...your man boobs are no good. HA! Here's a book I was interested in reading...I'll see if B&N has it. Anyway...if you have any breastfeeding advice/tips/etc. email me!! I would really appreciate it. WOOWOO@POINTRADIO.COM Thanks & Have a great day! WooWoo
