Alright so I still eat like the half ton woman, but not as often, and i've found that I actually enjoy eating lots of fruits and veggies when I thought I would hate it. My boyfriend calls it pig food, cause I chop up a bunch of things and mix it together and TA DA! Its good. haha
I don't think I could ever give up my favorites: Chicken wings, pizza, steak, frog legs, deer... i'd be devistated.
Basically I've been eating "cleaner" WHICH MEANS incorporating more healthy foods lately. I've never been on a diet, but people tell me ALLL THE TIME " OHHH ASHLEYYY YOUR METABOLISM WONT BE LIKE THAT FOREVER, YOU NEED TO STOP EATING SO MUCH PIZZA AND CHICKEN WINGS."
So, now, instead of eating pizza and chicken wings a majority of the days of the week I incorporate a wide variety of foods, but I still eat foods I love A LOT! And its so nice trying new things and I've grown to love fruits and vegetables, never thought I would! Luckily ive never been a fan of snacks, like cake rolls or twinkies or whatever else 7-11 sells. The texture of those "cake treats" freak me out and they taste horrible. Its like chomping on spongebobs corpse.
So I havent made any MAJOR changes, I just incorporate more healthy things such as:
1. more fruit
2. more veggies
3. I only drink water, green tea, or chocolate soy milk. (and sometimes beer... well lots of times beer AND NO I dont like that low calorie stuff)
4. more eggs
im a big fan of smoothies now. usually i add a bunch of fruit, a handfull of spinach and some chia seeds and its always delicious. You should really try it out, its really not that hard to make and you can put whatever your heart desires in them. For example one day I used strawberries, bananas, peanut butter, and almond milk for a more filling snack like smoothie. I feel like a little diva chef when I make these fancy things!
I've been making a bunch of salads lately too, usually a bunch of veggies cut up with a dash of salt and pepper and you dont even need dressing. I find that so weird, I use to pour dressing over everything but it seriously taste AMAZING without! I make all my salads with spinach and then depending on whats in the fridge it usually consist of:
1. green pepper
2. red onion
3. avocado
4. asparagus
5. feta
6. cucumber
7. mushrooms
8. tomato
9. (sometimes I throw in grilled chicken, shrimp, or salmon)
One of Kyles favorites has been my Avocado Nectarine Salsa/Salad. It's such a great snack!
You cube up:
Avocado
Nectarine
Red Onion
Tomatoes
Then add 1 TBSPN of lime juice and a dash of sea salt and ta daaa!!!! All the flavors really go well together
If you have any yummy dishes you'd like to share comment below! I love trying new things!
Below I put some pics of some of the things i've been making lately, and posting on instagram obviously haha YES those are frog legs, and the dish with the meat and veggies is deer meat :)

Valentines Day is my favorite hallmark holiday. Im not in love with the entire concept of showing that special someone how much you care, ONE day of the year.. Rather I LOVE to craft and bake and I love the colors and what not about the whole holiday. (Yes the marketing gets to me) BUT I never actually buy the decorations; I make them, as well as the actual valentines that I give.
My last post I showed you some things I made for my valentine.. I’m anxious to see what else might be in store for me. But this morning I had a sweet surprise from my mom and dad.. a very sweet card and a box of truffles. Little things like that make me so happy and it meant so much to me.
Last night I stayed up and baked some of my favorite treats, I even made chocolate covered strawberries to surprise Kyle with when he got off work and those were a huge kick. WIN FOR ME!!
I baked cookies and brownies as well, and made two little valentines for my two best guy friends (whom just so happen to work with Kyle and I had Kyle give them their valentine!) They loved it, and they loved the thought and that’s what I love the most! Making people happy with simple little crafts, I never realized how something so small could make someone smile for miles and that melts my heart!
This valentines day I got super crafty and made Kyle a bunch of valentines. If you don't already know, we love to fish, so I went with that theme! We have opposite schedules ( i go to work intyhe morning and get off at 3 but he goes to work at 3-11pm) so we decided to exchange gifts last night (plus i was so anxious haha)! Then on actual valentines day (well tonight when he gets off work) I have a few surprises up my sleeve, and then hes taking me to dinner on Saturday! (at least thats all i know of haha)
But as far as gifts I made a cute card that looks like a fish but its made with 3 cut out hearts .. Which he thought was pretty cute. I also cut out a hook and hot glued ribbon to it and on the other end a little note.. So when you pull the hook out from the fishes mouth the surprise note comes out!
I also made some coupons (funny ones, cute ones, and "fun" ones) lol
Then I filled a mason jar with gummie worms and cut out ribbon and a tag and wrote "hooked on you"
And lastly the Swedish fish in the bowl! That was pretty easy, just cut out a fish bowl then blue (for the water) get goodie bags and put the fish bowl in that and add Swedish fish! I added "your the only fish in the sea for me"
Then I put some dome goodies in the bag like his favorite candies and what not, oh and hello kitty bubble Bath haha we recently moved and have this HUGE jacuzzi tub in our bathroom (like really it could fit 8 people) and well, who doesn't love bubble baths ;)
As far as my gifts so far, lots of kisses and these sweet ass new glasses! Costas baby !!
with cute pink croakies :)
Im anxious to see what else kyle has up his sleeve ;)
This weekend was by far one of my favorite (this year!)
To start it off Kyle took me to get Indian food on Saturday and it was soooo good. It’s the second time ive ever had it but I got some stuff, I forgot what its called though haha it was chicken, with some red sauce and it was super spicy lol but we go to Monsoon this place in Hampton at peninsula town center and its DA BOMB! He spoils me. With food. (cause thats the way to my heart haha)
BUT whats even more exciting is that I got two new pets; a duck and a goat. I know pretty random but I LOVE THEM. My boyfriend decided to get them for me when he was out with his country bumpkin friends and had a little too much goof water and went to the tractor supply store and bought a bunch of farm animals to keep at their house. (The live in Smithfield on a huge piece of land)
I got to meet the duck and goat this weekend and I am beyond in love. At first I was a little scared, but the duck (Ralphie) is SO SWEET. She lets you hold her, squeeze her, she sits in your lap and just quacks away!
The goat is adorable too, haven’t come up with a name but but he is so sweet. He just sits in your lap, and almost makes this purring sound and rest his little nose under your armpit. I would’ve never imagines for these animals to be so snuggly.
Now I just want more and more and more!
Not only did I get some sweet pets, but I went bass fishing (as usual) on Sunday and it was a little warmer out so I was feeling lucky on the water. Kyle and I and our friend ryan just went fishing in our backyard (we live on a lake) and boy did I catch a monster! First cast, first fish of the year, 8 pound bass! I loved it! Then I kept reelin in fish after fish and at the end of the day I had 6, kyle had 2, and ryan had 1. Yeah they were jealous ;)
Overall my weekend was successfull. Besides my knee being messed up (still havent found out whats up with that) I got to spend quality time with my hunny doing things I love. FISHING and EATING. and of course snuggling. and the two surprise pets were a plus!
This Saturday was my first entercom after holiday company party and it was a lot of fun! The party was called "the Benny's" which is after our president, Bennett.
We were going for the theme of a awards ceremony, and everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good laugh, especially once the liquid was running through them HA! Everyone was dressed lovely, the food was fantastic, the company was fun!People busted out their moves and had a good time. Overall my first company party was a success!
Below are two videos I made for the party, This first one is "The Bennys" It's basically me running around like a crazy person asking random people if they were excited about the bennys (fake award show) and I was surprised at the answers I recieved!
The second video is a photo slideshow of how the actual awards were made!
Oh and I threw in a few photographs to politely brag about how handsome my man was in a suit and tie!! bowww chiccckaaa wowww wowww!!! ;) XOXOXO
Alright so after having to miserably sit through half of the Super Bowl id like to highlight the things I enjoyed:
1. The guacamole I made
2. I guessed HEADS so I won a free papa johns pizza! GO ME!
3. The Doritos goat commercial
4. The Oreos commercial
5 The Taco Bell commercial
6. First ever fan made countdown
The 47th halftime show was a hit! I think Beyonce rocked it, not only was she completely stunning (her outfit was classy and sassy SHE ROCKED IT) but the show was great! It never fails for her to put on a good performance.
And when Kelly and Michelle popped up I about freaked out! It was such surprise. I loved the set list, light show, dancers, just about everything that went down. and she DIDN'T lip sing, and she looked fabulous the entire time! wooo hooo beyonce!!!
Her performance is one for the books.
Bravo!!!
The ONLY thing I would've added.. Is for Jay Z to make an appearance! But I loved it!
